Rendezvous with Eagle Team

With the Hovercraft down near the beach, Psycho had to continue on foot toward Colonel Lee. Lee had pushed further ahead and was now off his radar. JSOC updated the orders that Psycho needed to catch-up with the Eagle Team who were also on foot and within a reasonable distance ahead.

Psycho moved forward toward Eagle, hoping that his colleague Dane would still be in tact. Dane was someone Psycho had not spent a great deal of time with over the years, but they knew of each other quite well. In fact, the Delta Force teams often competed with each other in timed events. The timings were posted at JSOC and shared electronically with the group. So, while you could be thousands of miles from the other team, you were still competing as if you were side by side.

Psycho and the rest of the team often became frustrated with Dane and Eagle Team, because of their ability to challenge and often excel over the other teams. Of course, none of that matters now, because they share a common goal to resolve the situation on this island.

Psycho was able to reload his weapons as he approached an area containing Korean People's Army (KPA) troops unprepared for a sudden change in temperature. The good news is that the ammo was not effected and was still usable.

Up ahead, Psycho reached Eagle Team. In his view, was Dane himself.

Since leaving the beach, those jellyfish things had not stopped trying to blast Psycho with their lasers. When he reached Eagle Team he was able to upgrade his weapons. The first new weapon was the Gauss rifle, which was probably one of the few things that can take down these metallic beasts. The Gauss rifle uses electro-magnets to hyper accelerate projectiles to near-light speed.

The other weapon was a FGL40 automatic grenade launcher, compliments of the KPA. After all, if they are stealing our Nanosuits, we can borrow some of their weapons right? The FGL40 can fire both fragmentation and EMP rounds ... but can also be used as a remote detonator - which might come in handy.

Psycho also nabbed another missile launcher too - just in case.

When the trees cleared, Psycho saw the rocks had fallen from the core home of these things. This was the area that I (Nomad) had just escaped when the island froze. Of course, with radio communication on the other side of the mountain impossible to retain, Psycho had no idea of knowing if anyone else (besides him and Team Eagle) were still alive.

Psycho and Team Eagle continued to push forward. Their goal was to head in the direction Colonel Lee was heading when he disappeared off their radar.

At least now, there are more of them assisting the priority. Hopefully, the frequency of those things would stabilize too, maybe even diminish greatly. Dream on!
