Team Raptor - Sole Survivor

"The crash was spectacular. Spectacular in a way that made me truly wish I was a thousand-miles in any other direction." Psycho told me as he continued his story. The pulse of the landing forced flashbacks from four years prior to the forefront of his mind. A time when I wasn't part of the Raptor Delta Force team. A time when Sam O'Neill was in my place.

"Cold Blue!" Psycho whispered. I thought about asking more about the situation, but his facial expression told me to remain silent.

When the scent of toxic fumes reached Psycho's brain he quickly regained focus at the situation at hand. He needed to depart the VTOL before things got worse. The sounds of bombs and heavy rocket detonation helped him move into action. Across from him, rested another injured soldier.

Psycho sprang to action, prying the seat belts off his comrade and thrust him over his soldier, crying for medical attention outside the VTOL. When he reached the door, other soldiers were waiting to take the injured one off his hands.

Instructions were given. Psycho was the lone survivor of Team Raptor at this point. He had to escape from the obvious target that the flaming VTOL provided to the night skies above. He had to move in the direction of the Sierra air strike team, taking care of any Korean People's Army (KPA) troops in front of him.

The soldiers remained near the crash, but in hiding - waiting for another VTOL, which was likely in route. Only Psycho had the Nanosuit. Only Psycho was equipped and trained to assist the Air Strikes from the ground.

The path proved to be cleared by prior bombing runs and Psycho simply needed to avoid walking into the wreckage the surrounded him on virtually every side of the landscape.

When he approached an open area under fire, he was reminded of that ship, that boat that was sitting in the middle of the rock formation just a few days prior. What was the name of that boat? That's right, "The Lusca's Call"

Just then, he felt the blast!

All energy inside Psycho's body seemed to fade. He felt himself smack the ground with a hard thump. The Nanosuit was also lifeless and heavy. Was this the end?

Heading Toward Sierra Team

Psycho wasn't sure how long he was out and never had time to check his Nanosuit, but he woke up watching a helicopter transport equipment directly over him. Had they seen him, would they have opted to jettison their cargo on top of him to destroy one of those multi-million dollar Nanosuits? He was quite certain the answer would have been "Yes!"

Commander Emerson's voice (from JSOC) finally reached Psycho. They received confirmation that he survived the direct blast of an EMP bomb. Talk about a field test of the Nanosuit. Within a few seconds, the Nanosuit was back online.

The blast left a huge crater in the ground. That bright glow was along the ground ... similar to what happened to that boat in the middle of the rocks. "Wicked!", is the way Psycho described the situation.

En route toward the Sierra team, Psycho marked a few KPA troops who were following up from the activity surrounding the blast. They likely realized no one could have survived the explosion, but were under orders to investigate the area fully.

The fire power of Psycho's SCAR and use of the cloak effect on the Nanosuit left the soldiers without hope as they were quickly eliminated. Certainly, being the victim of trade and technology embargoes leaves countries like North Korea at a disadvantage.

Moving on, Psycho had to hurry to reach his destination point. An image of the map and objectives were listed below.

Without much effort, Psycho made it to the peak of the valley between the large mountains. A plateau led toward the sea where the Sierra Team was already taking out the area of KPA hostiles. It was about to get interesting.

Psycho's next goal was to dig deep into that area and head toward the next way point.
