From the watch tower, Psycho was able to get a perfect view of the airfield and the Korean People's Army (KPA) troops guarding the area. He knew that he would need to take down these troops to have any shot at making it to that container unnoticed. Again, the noise of that huge sphere was providing excellent cover for what Psycho had in mind.
The KPA soldier that was taken out in the watch tower only minutes earlier was also armed with a sniper rifle. So, Psycho was loaded with sniper ammo at this point and the watch tower provided a perfect spot (when in prone mode) to recharge the suit and remain unnoticed at the same time.
So, Psycho enabled cloak mode, focused in on a nearby KPA troop, fired a single shot, then dropped down out of sight to recharge his Nanosuit. He repeated the process over and over. In every case, the soldier fell lifeless to the ground without other KPA troops having a real idea where the shot originated.
Eventually, a couple of troops wondered near the watch tower, but quick shots by Psycho also took them down. Psycho scanned the area and noticed it had been cleared and he had not taken any hits to his health. Certainly, he had to feel as if he were far more like me (Nomad) than himself. As we've always discussed, there is a time to be Psycho and a time not to be Psycho. In those non-Psycho times, one has to be "Nomadian."
JSOC pushed the coordinates of a few munitions storage containers in the airfield. Psycho used that opportunity to exchange his sniper rifle with a new submachine gun. He also made sure he had plenty of rockets in his missile launcher, just in case.
With the area clear he noticed a tunnel that lead him toward a train track and the core section of the airfield. The waypoint indicator showed that the container was in the section ahead. A few KPA troops were taken down as Psycho moved through the tunnel.
Looking back to the sky, Psycho could not help but notice that sphere. The more he looked at that thing, the more he wondered if it would continue to evolve to eclipse the entire island, then the entire planet. He wasn't fond of these visitors.
With cloak mode enabled, Psycho continued to push forward. Up ahead he was acquainted with that mysterious container once again.
This time the container was heavily guarded, not only by three ground-mounted machine guns, but a huge KPA tank. Now more than ever did Psycho wish Strickland and his team of tanks were behind him, because that would make this mission a piece of cake.
Instead, Psycho was alone and he knew that more KPA troops were in the area. Looking up to the sky, he noticed that the KPA had armed the area by air as well.
Things were about to get crazy, as Psycho was about to wage his own personal war against the KPA. Sure, he was totally outnumbered, but he didn't care. That container was his, whether or not Colonel Lee agreed.
Psycho took a few minutes to plan his attack, then said a quick prayer. As I already noted, things were about to get crazy.
